About us

Founded in 2024, LOOMIT is an independent architectural lighting design firm based in Bologna and Milan, Italy. It brings together the expertise and professionalism of its founders:

• Susanna Antico, independent lighting designer since 1995 (Lighting Designer Member APIL, IALD, CLSF – CLD)
• Samuel Vespo, senior lighting designer since 2008

LOOMIT provides full spectrum lighting design services, from one-off consultations and concept development to fully realized and documented lighting solutions, using both standard and custom products.

LOOMIT’S multidisciplinary team brings extensive experience in architecture, urban planning, lighting technology, industrial design, visual communication and human-centric lighting applications. We approach each project with a deep understanding of how light interacts with space and impacts people in their environments.

Fluent in multiple languages, our partners and staff seamlessly manage projects worldwide, minimizing communication barriers.

We use light as a medium to enhance spaces, reveal their potential, create visual interest, shape atmospheres and ensure comfort, safety and security. Our goal is to craft harmonious and coherent nightscapes that enrich the human experience and elevate the built environment.

What we do

LOOMIT provides lighting design services across all architectural fields, with a particular focus on outdoor projects. For over three decades, we have been developing urban lighting projects and creating city-wide lighting masterplans.

Beyond essential perceptual and aesthetic considerations, our design approach prioritizes compliance with norms, standards, and regulations. We are committed to sustainability, striving to minimize energy consumption and maintenance costs while delivering high-quality lighting solutions.
